If the Lord Jesus was not exempt from persecution . . .

“Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own Prophets, and have persecuted us; and

they please not God, and are contrary to all men.” Thessalonians 2:15

Even though Jesus laid His life down willingly in the eyes of God and man, they killed

the Lord Jesus. If the Lord Jesus was not exempt from persecution, His followers will

be persecuted also. John 15: 18 & 20 encourages us, “If the world hate you, you know

that it hated Me before it hated you. Remember the word that I said unto you,

The servant is not greater than his Lord. If they have persecuted Me, they will also

persecute you; if they have kept My saying, they will keep yours also.”
