Calamities

“Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in

the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.”

Psalm 57:1 David’s back was against the wall as he was hiding in a cave from Israel’s

wicked King Saul. Although David found himself in an extremely precarious place, he

purposed in his heart to make his true refuge in the shadow of the Almighty. What was

David doing in his cave? Psalm 57 was being prepared in his heart by the Holy Spirit.

What the enemy purposed for evil, our Lord turned it out for good! Let our Lord speak to

you as you are trusting Him in your cave!
