We Wait in Anticipation

“And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said,‘Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven’” (Acts 1:10-11). As we look around, we literally see prophecies being fulfilled. 2 Timothy 3,Romans 1:28-32, and Romans 8:20-23 are just to name a few. This should nudge us to soberly and eagerly look for the return of our Lord. Remember, church, God does NOT lie. Our Lord is not slack concerning His promise. Jesus will one day return as He said He would; the prophecies declare it. In our text, the angelic being announced “shall so come.”He will! “He which testifieth these things saith, ‘Surely I come quickly.’ Amen. Even so, come, LordJesus” (Revelation 22:20)
