True Peace

“Paul, and Silas, and Timothy, unto the Church of the Thessalonians which is in God

the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and Peace, from God our

Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.” I Thessalonians 1:1

Grace and Peace can only flow to the believer from God our Father and the Lord Jesus

Christ. Grace- unmerited favor, the divine influence of the heart and its reflection in

the life of the believer, God’s ability given to man. Peace- to join, to set at one, again

the result of this is quietness and rest. That rest can only come from the Lord Jesus

Christ. Peace is not a feeling, but as a result of being made one with God. When our

Faith is on a continual day-by-day basis in Christ and Him Crucified, there will be a

rest for His children in these perilous days that we are living in.

“There remains therefore a Rest to the People of God.” Hebrews 4:9
