Our Focus

Luke 10:2-3 “Therefore said he unto them, ‘The harvest truly is great, but the labourers

are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into

His harvest. Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.’” Our Lord

sends us out for the purpose of sharing the Gospel. God uses His body as He sees fit.

Some plant; some water, but it is our Lord Who gives the increase. The Gospel changes

lives. There is a power to it because it is reinforced by the Power of the Holy Spirit. It

steps on the toes of all principalities, powers, and Satan’s domain. Luke 10:17,20 says,

“And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto

us through thy name. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto

you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” Power over demons

should not be the source of joy but sonship evidenced by one’s name written in Heaven.

It is a natural tendency for us to glory in the exercise of our own power. All this arises

from pride and it being about us and our ministry rather than about Jesus and the Power

of His Name. Let us put our focus back into the right perspective.
