“Charity suffers long, and is kind; charity envies not; Love vaunts not itself,
is not puffed up. Does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is
not easily provoked, thinks no evil; Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in
the Truth: Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all
things.” I Corinthians 13:4-7
From time to time, I need to be reminded of this great truth. The pressure of
life itself wants to extinguish the great God-given gift. Love, the Lord’s word,
is clearly defined in the matter: God is love. He loves us; He wants us to carry
this utmost character in us always. In a sense, we do. We have God the
Holy Spirit living inside us! We need to let Him love through us. Jesus, let
this powerful revelation capture us all the days of our being.
