Hear Ye Him

“While He thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as

they entered into the cloud. And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, ‘This is my

beloved Son: hear Him.’” Luke 9:34-35 At times the Lord Himself will take us some-

where to pray. It could be to pray for the lost, hurting, sick, or even a personal need. It is

there, on the mountain, we get a glimpse of His glory. Transfiguration means “some-

thing rendered apparent.” When we are in God’s presence, nothing else matters. Many

times the Holy Spirit prays through us, and we receive a revelation that we know only

comes from our Savior. In our “Peter Moment,” we need to be reminded to hear Him—

Jesus only—not our own perception, experience, or ideas in what we think need to be

done. When we hear Him, it is Christ alone, His still small voice, the glory of His

majesty—not our personal revelation. I encourage you to always “hear Him.” It’s about

Jesus the Living Word. He is the Living Water Who can quench the thirst of our hearts.

Today if you hear His voice, harden not your hearts. Hear Him!
