We as God’s children—His elect, redeemed—must realize that we cannot do anything
outside His grace—His favor, His help. “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation
hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we
should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world” (Titus 2:11-12). “In
whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the
riches of His grace” (Ephesians 1:7). “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that
not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast”
(Ephesians 2:8-9). “Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye
may know how ye ought to answer every man” (Colossians 4:6). “And with great power
gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon
them all” (Acts 4:33). “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we
may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16). “But he
giveth more grace” (James 4:6a). And the last scripture of the Bible: “The grace of our
Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen” (Revelation 22:21).
