And He Shall Be Called

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his

shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The

everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6 Our Heavenly Father refers to His

Only Begotten Son as these names. Is He these for us? Ask yourself these questions. Can

we say today that He is wonderful? Is He our counselor? Do we inquire of Him? Is He

the mighty God? The word mighty means a powerful champion. The Everlasting

Father? Do we realize the Lord is the One Who holds time in His hand? Is He the

Prince of Peace? When chaos is all around, do we realize He is the One Who governs

and keeps our welfare/happiness? This Christmas, let us ask the Lord to open our hearts

and reveal these awesome Names of our Savior. Merry Christmas!
