Thy Word Is True

The Holy Bible (the Word of God) was written over a span of 1,500 years by 40

different authors from 3 continents in 3 different languages. Its words point unerringly to

Jesus’ work on the cross. This Word of God is able to make us wise unto salvation. This

is what Paul wrote to Timothy in his second epistle. All—not some—but all scripture is

given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for

instruction in righteousness. It is His Word that effectually works in us who believe.

Peter writes that we have a more sure word of prophecy. This word of prophecy came

not by the will of men but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy

Spirit. It is to be read, treasured in our hearts, but—most of all—believed on. Church, I

pray that you make reading this precious, inherent Word your priority.
