Believe

“That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved

the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not

perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the

world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not

condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in

the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:15-18 God gave every person a capacity

to choose between right/wrong and good/evil. The word believe is an extremely powerful

word never to be overlooked. It means to have faith in/upon and to commit trust. This is

exactly why people go to hell: they do not have faith in/upon and committed trust in our

Savior. Some might walk an aisle for a moment; but the ways of the world, the cares of this

life, and the deceitfulness of riches pull them away from the Gospel. We look around and

see vessels fit for destruction. Perhaps people might “honor” Him with their lips, but

their heart is far from Him. You and I who believe must keep believing and trusting Him in

everything. Thank Him and honor Him! Bless Him and love our Jesus!
